Nhưng AI có thể giúp bạn tìm nhanh hơn, articulate rõ hơn, và validate tốt hơn.

Bài này hướng dẫn cách dùng Claude (hoặc AI khác) như research assistant cho gap finding.

AI làm được gì và không làm được gì

✅ AI làm được:

• Tổng hợp nhanh nhiều abstracts
• Identify patterns trong literature
• Suggest potential gaps dựa trên input
• Giúp articulate gap statement rõ ràng hơn
• Brainstorm research questions

❌ AI không làm được:

• Đọc full papers (context window có giới hạn)
• Verify gap có thật sự tồn tại không
• Guarantee gap chưa ai làm
• Thay thế deep reading của bạn

Nguyên tắc: AI là assistant, không phải author. Bạn vẫn phải validate mọi thứ.

Prompt Strategy 1: Literature Synthesis

Khi nào dùng: Sau khi đọc 10-20 papers, cần tổng hợp và tìm patterns.

Cách làm:

Tôi đang nghiên cứu về [topic]. Đây là key findings từ 10 papers tôi đã đọc:

Paper 1: [Author, Year] - [Key finding]
Paper 2: [Author, Year] - [Key finding]
...

Hãy giúp tôi:
1. Identify common themes
2. Tìm contradictions (nếu có)
3. Suggest potential gaps chưa được explore

Output expect: List themes + contradictions + 3-5 potential gaps để investigate.

Prompt Strategy 2: Gap Articulation

Khi nào dùng: Bạn có sense về gap nhưng chưa biết diễn đạt academic.

Cách làm:

Tôi nghĩ có một gap trong literature về [topic]:

Ý tưởng thô của tôi: [mô tả bằng ngôn ngữ thường]

Hãy giúp tôi articulate thành gap statement academic, theo format:
"While existing research has examined X, there is limited understanding of Y, particularly in the context of Z."

Output expect: 2-3 versions của gap statement để chọn.

Prompt Strategy 3: FRIN Analysis

Khi nào dùng: Đang đọc phần "Future Research" của các SLR papers.

Cách làm:

Đây là các "Future Research" statements từ 5 SLR papers trong field của tôi:

SLR 1 [Author, Year]: "[paste FRIN statement]"
SLR 2 [Author, Year]: "[paste FRIN statement]"
...

Hãy:
1. Categorize theo loại gap (contextual/empirical/methodological/theoretical)
2. Identify overlaps (gap nào nhiều papers đề cập)
3. Đánh giá feasibility cho undergraduate/master research

Output expect: Categorized list + priority recommendations.

Prompt Strategy 4: Research Question Refinement

Khi nào dùng: Có gap, cần viết RQs.

Cách làm:

Gap của tôi: [gap statement]
Target tier: [Q3/Q4]
Method dự kiến: [quantitative survey/qualitative interview/etc.]

Hãy suggest 3-4 research questions phù hợp với:
- Gap đã xác định
- Tier đang target
- Method có thể thực hiện

Output expect: 3-4 RQs với explanation tại sao phù hợp.

Prompt Strategy 5: Devil's Advocate

Khi nào dùng: Trước khi commit vào một gap, cần validate.

Cách làm:

Tôi định nghiên cứu gap sau: [gap statement]

Hãy đóng vai devil's advocate:
1. Tại sao gap này có thể KHÔNG đáng nghiên cứu?
2. Có thể đã có ai làm rồi mà tôi chưa tìm thấy?
3. Challenges gì có thể gặp khi pursue gap này?
4. Contribution thực sự là gì nếu tôi lấp được gap này?

Output expect: Critical analysis giúp bạn strengthen hoặc pivot.

Ví dụ thực tế

Input:

Tôi đang explore về sustainable packaging và Gen Z. 
Đọc được vài papers thấy:
- Gen Z care về environment hơn generations trước
- Sustainable packaging tăng purchase intention ở Western markets
- Chưa thấy nhiều study ở emerging markets như Vietnam

Giúp tôi articulate gap.

Output (từ Claude):

"While existing research has established that sustainable packaging positively influences purchase intention among Gen Z consumers, these findings predominantly emerge from Western market contexts. There is limited understanding of how institutional factors and infrastructure constraints in emerging markets like Vietnam may moderate this relationship, particularly given the nascent state of recycling systems and varying environmental awareness levels."

Đây là starting point. Bạn vẫn cần verify bằng actual literature search.

Ethical Considerations

🔴 KHÔNG được:

• Copy AI output thẳng vào paper
• Dùng AI-generated citations (AI có thể hallucinate)
• Claim gap mà không verify qua actual papers
• Submit AI-written literature review

🟢 ĐƯỢC:

• Dùng AI để brainstorm và refine ideas
• Dùng AI để improve writing clarity
• Dùng AI như sounding board
• Credit AI assistance nếu journal yêu cầu disclosure

Nguyên tắc vàng: Nếu bạn không thể defend một statement trong viva/defense, đừng include nó.
